All of my CZ pistols tend to like to shoot one nice jagged hole on days when I am capable of doing my part. Just my personal opinon, but I think it is their unique slide and frame mating that adds a great deal to their inherent accuracy. Accurate, reliable, and built like tanks, much like the CZ pistols. From the comments I have seen there, they are always spoken of highly by their owners. On the CZ forum, they have a clone room, where folks can discuss their Witness pistols and others. You know I am a major CZ fan of their full sized, all steel framed pistols, so of course I have to approve totally of your acquisition. Range report when weather allows.Īs the others have already said sir, I think you got a great deal on your newest lady. Break down is pretty much the same a SA 1911 but without the barrel bushing. I do like the slide in frame design with the larger beavertail to eliminate hammer & slide bite and I really like the 1911 style safety so it can be carried 15+1 in SA cocked & locked or in DA with hammer down for first shot capability. The weather here is cold and windy with no relief in sight so it might be a while before I can get it to the range, I'm getting backed up on getting to shoot some of my newest acquisitions, including my L1A1, S&W M17-4 and now the EAA Witness. It came with 2 original 15rd mags, no box or papers, $325 OTD, I wasn't looking to buy another 9mm but if its as accurate as my CZ P01 9mm then it might be a keeper. These of course are CZ clones by Tanfoglio of Italy, fit and feel is good for me, its all carbon steel so its a tad heavy, but I like all steel guns and the weight doesn't bother me in the least.
